Veterans can get help with benefits and more next week



An annual fair filled with information for veterans is set to return to Richmond next week for its fourth year.

The Eastern Indiana Veteran Resource Fair will be  10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Tom Raper Center on the Wayne County Fairgrounds, 861 Salisbury Road.

Doors will close at 1 p.m. to ensure all veterans are served. Admission is free.

Participating agencies and companies will offer advice, information and assistance to veterans and their family members.

Veterans will be connected with resources to meet their specific needs. There will be free health screenings, educational booths from community colleges, information about jobs available for veterans, help with getting government benefits, references for mental health services, a free lunch for veterans and more.
