Trump signs bill extending VA Choice health-care flexibility

The extension of the program allows health care for service-connected medical conditions and using funding for it until it is exhausted.

Veterans will continue to have access to private health-care facilities closer to their homes with quicker appointments, as provided by the Veterans Choice Program Improvement Act.

President Donald Trump, on April 19, signed a measure extending the program, which allows health care for service-connected medical conditions and use of funding for it until it is exhausted. The Choice program increases access to care for veterans by authorizing millions of appointments for veterans in the community.
